the Journey of Hope ... From Violence to Healing bus

Abolition Movin'

Joined by others with stories to tell

The Journey includes powerful stories from other perspectives to give a more complete picture of how the death penalty prolongs suffering, prevents healing, perpetuates the cycle of violence and thus creates more victims.

Also featured are death row family members, witnesses to executions, death row survivors and many others with first hand insights.

Whenever possible, a team approach is used that includes local, national and international speakers who can add legal, social, moral and academic viewpoints and additional factual information about the death penalty.

Where the Journey goes....

More than a quarter of a million people have heard the stories face to face since the first Journey in 1993.  When the stories are told, hearts are touched and minds can be changed.  With its unique approach, the Journey opens doors to speaking engagements in:

  • Schools, Colleges and Universities

  • Churches and religious settings

  • Civic and Professional Organizations

  • Legislative Hearings

  • Radio and Television Talk Shows

  • Rallies and Demonstrations
