Community of Sant’Egidio
The Community of Sant'Egidio is a "Church public lay association" united in their desire for a culture of peace.  They are committed to world death penalty abolition.  You can sign the petition for a worldwide moratorium on the death penalty at this site.

European Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty
ECADP is a legally recognized human rights organization working to abolish the death penalty worldwide,
but it focuses principally on the United States of America. There is an urgent action site and personal pages of death row inmates.

Canadian Coalition Against The Death Penalty
The CCADP site includes over 160 separate death row prisoner pages.  It also includes an acclaimed student resource center where students can read and contribute essays, contact activists, attorneys, and prisoners.  A collection of links, posted upcoming executions, and a chat room are also featured on the site.

Australian Coalition Against The Death Penalty

National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty
NCADP provides up to date information on executions and mobilizes and supports individuals and institutions that reject the death penalty.

Murder Victims’ Families for Reconciliation
MVFR is a national organization of family members of both homicide and state killings who oppose the death penalty in all cases.  They advocate for programs that promote crime prevention and alternatives to violence and support programs that address the needs of victims, helping them to rebuild their lives.

Amnesty International USA
AIUSA seeks the abolition of the death penalty world-wide because it is a human rights violation.  Their site contains in-depth studies of the death penalty and commonly asked questions and answers about the death penalty.

The Death Penalty Information Center
DPIC is a non-profit organization serving the media and the public with analysis and information on issues concerning capital punishment. The Center was founded in 1990 and prepares in-depth reports, issues press releases, conducts briefings for journalists, and serves as a resource.

Religious Organizing Against the Death Penalty Project

Friends Committee on National Legislation

The Moratorium Campaign

The Lamp of Hope Project
Founded by Texas death row prisoners, the non-profit organization's goals include educating

Equal Justice USA/ Quixote Center
These grassroots projects mobilize and educate ordinary citizens around issues of crime and punishment in the U.S., bringing into focus the racial, economic and political biases that permeate the legal system.  Equal Justice USA currently operates three exciting programs: Moratorium Now!, the GrassRoots Investigation Project, and the DC Books to Prisons Project.

Based in Alabama, the purpose of this organization is to influence public opinion regarding capital punishment through education.  Inmates and concerned citizens work together with family members and friends, nationally and internationally, to abolish the death penalty worldwide.

Alaskans Against the Death Penalty
AADP is a coalition of people and groups in Alaska dedicated to educating policy-makers and the public about the facts and the myths associated with the death penalty. AADP maintains a speaker's bureau and provides educational materials on request.
