Wrongly Jailed for 12 years

Adams v. The Death Penalty

Radio Interview with Randall

Quote

“The man you see before you is here by the grace of God,” Adams said at a legislative hearing. “The fact that it took 12 and a half years and a movie to prove my innocence should scare the hell out of everyone in this room, and if it doesn’t, then that scares the hell out of me.”

Randall Dale Adams was released from death row in 1989 after twelve years in a Texas prision including four years on death row. His story was the subject of The Thin Blue Line, the famous 1988 documentary film by Errol Morris on his arrest, imprisonment and near execution for the murder of a Dallas policeman -- a crime he never committed.
