Carter and Lilly Flores have a son, Charles, on death row in Texas. Carter is an elder at the Edgefield Iglesia de Cristo Church in Dallas. Carter is active with the Texas Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty and the Dallas Chapter of Amnesty International USA.
