2001 North Carolina October 05-21

The NC Journey of Hope... from Violence to Healing will begin to traverse the state on October 5, 2001. A thousand miles later, NC Journey will roll into Raleigh on October 18, 2001 to join the start of the 25th anniversary conference of the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty. PFADP is sponsoring the NC Journey and cosponsoring the NCADP conference.

On the NC Journey family members will recall their tragedy, their struggle to heal, and their reasons for supporting alternatives to the death penalty. The NC Journey will be joined by death row families, death row survivors, and abolitionists from around the world.

Journey speakers will be speaking in schools, universities, churches, synagogues, mosques, rallies, town meetings, media events and other forums, delivering tales of courage, faith, and forgiveness that will challenge all who hear them. Please let us know if we can arrange an NC Journey of Hope speaking event at your congregation, school, or groups.

PFADP and the Journey of Hope invite all those interested in joining us to contact us for more information. Whatever you have to offer is welcome, whether you can help us as a speaker, activist or supporter. We encourage and need your help.

A special Thank you to Steve Dear, Andie Wigodsky, Marisa Gwaltney, Ari Kohen and the North Carolina People of Faith Against the Death Penalty
We would also like to thank the following Organizations for their help with the North Carolina Journey:
