Journey of Hope shares message of love, forgiveness

From Sept. 26 through Oct. 12, an extraordinary group of about 50 murder victims’ family members who oppose capital punishment, some innocent persons freed from death row, families of death-row prisoners and activists will travel throughout Ohio to share their messages of love, forgiveness and healing.
Journey of Hope…From Violence to Healing, sponsored by the archdiocesan Social Action Office, spotlights murder victims’ family members who choose not to seek revenge and instead select the path of love and compassion for all humanity.  Forgiveness is seen as strength and as a way of healing.
The Journey of Hope, in partnership with Ohioans to Stop Executions, will touch thousands of people through public speaking events, visits to schools, churches and professional organizations and other events, and will make a presentation at offices of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, 100 E. Eighth Street, Room 1 A, Monday, Sept. 29, noon-1 p.m.
