Group Seeking to Abolish the Death Penalty Makes Stop in Great Falls

"Journey of Hope: From Violence to Healing" made an appearance at Great Falls Central Catholic High School. The Alaska based group says their mission is to put a human face on the death penalty, which they believe isn't an effective deterrent for criminals and only causes more suffering.
The group says they've come to Montana because the state nearly abolished the death penalty during the last legislative session.
The group is making 65 appearances during their ten-day stop in the state. The tour wraps up on Sunday (10/12).
