The World Day Against the Death Penalty Conference

The World Day Against the Death Penalty Conference will be held October 11-13 outside of Indianapolis, in Plainfield IN. The Conference will explore current trends in the abolition movement--both domestically and internationally--and equip attendees with knowledge and skills to work for the worldwide repeal of the death penalty. The conference will feature workshops and training from leading anti-death penalty organizations around the country, testimony from those directly affected by the death penalty such as murder victims' family members and death row exonerees, and opportunities for fellowship and networking.   

When: Conference October 11 – 13th, plus pre-conference press conference and concert October 10.  

Festivities will commence on Oct. 10, World Day to Abolish the Death Penalty, with a press conference at the Indiana State Capitol at 4pm and Charlie King and Karen Brandow concert at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis at 7pm. The World Day Against the Death Penalty Conference will begin at 9am, Friday October 11, and continue until the closing on Sunday, October 13, at 12:00pm.

  • $25 Student/reduced income rate 
  • Scholarships available, no one will be turned away
