Demand Justice: A Lecture on the Death Penalty with the Journey of Hope

Join Amnesty International and Journey of Hope for a talk on the injustice of the death penalty as party of Amnesty International's anti death penalty week. The death penalty is the ultimate, irreversible denial of human rights. By working towards the abolition of the death penalty worldwide, Amnesty International aims to end the cycle of violence created by a system riddled with economic and racial bias and tainted by human error. In light of the execution of Troy Davis and the absence of fair trial for innumerable other prisoners currently behind bars, it is exceedingly important for activists nation wide to take action to abolish the death penalty immediately.
