The 9-member Board of Directors of the Journey of Hope includes six women and three men.  Seven persons on the board have lost family members to murder or have direct personal experience of the death penalty system.  Two members are African-American, two are Latino/a, and five are white.  Ages range from mid-20’s to early 70’s.  The board holds online meetings at least quarterly and meets in person once each year.
